What this site is

aethervallis is an independent editorial publication about the entry conditions at a handful of hotels and casinos in Monaco. Everything on it is information and opinion. It is not professional, legal, financial or travel advice, and it is not an offer of any service.

What we are not

We are not Monte-Carlo SBM. We are not a hotel, a casino, a booking agent, a travel agent or a tour operator. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any venue or gaming authority mentioned here. We cannot make a reservation for you, cannot get you through a door, and cannot intervene if a venue has treated you badly. If you have a complaint about a venue, it goes to the venue.

Accuracy, and its limits

We check everything against what the operator publishes and we date the check: 17 July 2026 for this edition. But door prices, opening hours, dress rules, star ratings and slot counts all change, sometimes without notice, and the Café de Paris renovation runs to spring 2027. Nothing here is warranted to be current, complete or correct at the moment you read it, and you should verify anything that matters directly with the venue before you travel or spend money. We are not liable for a wasted journey, a refused entry or a decision made on the strength of a figure that moved after we checked it.

Where our sources conflict, we say so on the page rather than choose. Where we could not verify something, we mark it unverified. Those marks are part of the content and should be read as such.

Photographs are used under their individual licences and are credited on the about page and beside each image; where a licence requires attribution, we attribute. No claim of ownership or association is made or implied.

Our property

The written files, the access scoring method and the layout of this site are ours. Quote us, cite us, link to us: that is what it is for. Republishing the files wholesale is not. If you want to reuse something substantially, ask at [email protected] and the answer will usually be yes.

Age

This dossier is for adults. The venues described have a minimum age of 18 in Monaco; elsewhere it is often higher, 21 in the United States, Macau and Singapore. Nothing here is intended for anyone under 18. Nothing here encourages gambling, and if it is causing you difficulty, the responsible gambling page lists free confidential help.

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for loss arising from use of it.
